The Fairlawn Hotel The Fairlawn Hotel is a fine Georgian Townhouse less than 2 miles from Stonehenge & 8 miles to Salisbury A Hotel With Atmosphere Not Smoke the owners take great pride in providing a friendly and professional service The Fairlawn hotel is a grade 2 listed fine Georgian Townhouse less than two mile from Stonehenge and only 8 miles to the beutiful Cathedrial city of Salisbury. The hotel is very conveniently situated in the small historical market town of Amesbury just off the A303. We are only about 40 miles from the lovely Roman city of Bath about 60 miles from the outskirts of London. This makes Amesbury an ideal stopover for those travelling to the West Country, Devon and Cornwall. The house still retains many of the original features including a wonderful curved staircase and a rare internal wind vane. The present owners who run the hotel take great pride in providing a freindly and professional sevice. Over the last year they have restored the house to some of its orginal features and have completly refurbished the lounge and bar area providing a beutiful and comfortable area for guests to relax in and browse through the library of guidebooks and local tourist information. All bedrooms are ensuite have complimentary tea and coffee trays, colur T.V., hairdryers and are comfortabley furnised. The owners take care to provide a high level of cleanliness throughout the hotel. There is a unique feature dining room siutated in the former wine cellar area where the owners supply a healthy continental style breakfast and for the more traditional a freshley home cooked English or Vegerterian breakfast cooked to your specific tastes. Our breakfast are prepared useing as much local local produce as possible. We do not offer an evening meal but you will find a good selection of eateries within a short walk from the hotel and can reccomend some excellent country pubs a few miles away.
